Autumnal Fun - gi

A few weeks ago this appeared in our back garden ... 

Very bright orange and all shiny with the rain - I think they are Leratiomyces ceres.  Quite common and wide-spread apparently ... Australian Fungi is a blog with lots of wonderful information.  The un-even gills of a grey buff colour certainly match the description for Leratiomyces ceres - and ours were probably introduced into the garden with some bark-chips.  That blog says "is reported to be poisonous" and that bright colour seems to be a warning - we didn't try it !!
This fungus darkens with age ...
